Michael Hulfactor, PhD - Managing Director
Michael has focused on customer demand, targeting, and opportunity analysis in high-technology
business markets in the U.S. and worldwide for nearly 15 years. He has managed over 60 major
proprietary studies for global technology companies including IBM, Oracle, Sun, Apple, and Netscape,
as well as early stage category creators. He specializes in quantitative research management and
analysis, and has worked on developing and refining Qsq Methodology over the past four years.
Michael was formerly a senior partner with Customer Insights, and chief analyst for the
Division of Academic Computing at the University of California, San Diego. His Ph.D. is from Stanford University.

Elizabeth Atler, BSEE, MBA - Director, North America Research and Web Operations
Elizabeth worked for Intel Corporation for 16 years in a variety of disciplines from applications engineering
to marketing, communications, and Internet operations. While in the Internet Marketing and E-Commerce Group,
She developed and implemented a marketing plan for promoting Intel's eBusiness program and drove
usability guidelines to improve user experience for intel.com. She also managed speech development
for Intel's corporate spokesperson, creating key product positioning during intense competitive pressure
in the mid-1990s. Elizabeth has a BSEE from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Arizona State University.

Nigel Warshaw, C.Eng MIEE - Sr. Director, International Research
Nigel has helped technology companies develop international business between Europe, the United States, and
Asia over the past 20 years, including joint ventures, licensing, and marketing agreements. Clients have
included the industrial customers of American Express Bank and two major European banks. Previously, Nigel
was vice president for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India at Worthington Pump Inc. based in Milan,
and before that, European marketing director at Serck-Rockwell based in Switzerland. He has been a board member
of companies in several European countries, as well as on Worthington Pump's management board. He has also been
European representative for Palo Alto mergers and acquisitions firm Von Gehr International. A member of the
Institution of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Directors, Nigel's degree in electrical engineering is
from Faraday House London. At ease in many cultures, he speaks French, German, Dutch, and Italian.

Deborah Sutherland, MA - Director, Administration
Deborah has worked as an administrator for several years at Stanford University. In one department, she oversaw
all fiscal activities in an operation generating income in excess of $2 million per year. As director for student services in the School of Education, she advised three deans and 40 faculty members on
admission, funding, and academic progress for 300 master's and doctoral students. Most recently, she has worked as an administrator in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. Her community
contributions are numerous: Founding director for handbell and adult choirs at several organizations in the
area, and directing a music enrichment program for elementary school children. Deborah has her MA in
administration and policy analysis from Stanford.

Alvaro Mercado, MS Eng - Director, Life Sciences
Alvaro has worked in analytical instrument development for 10 years, having experience in both chemical analysis instrumentation, such as mass spectrometry, and life sciences technologies, such as qPCR. His government work has included engineering support for chemical sensor projects sponsored by the U.S. Transportation Security Laboratory. Multinational work includes research analysis for EADS, a major European aerospace company, and North America distribution assistance to chemical manufacturers, such as BASF. Specialized in the area of quality assurance, he has managed the enterprise resource planning and laboratory quality control systems for Chemtec, a west coast distributor of silicones, polyglycols and surfactants. He helped Anesiva, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, to secure a better polyglycol excipient for their pharmaceutical formulation. Al has an MS in Optics from the University of Rochester and an MS in Chemistry from Polytechnic–New York University, and was a research associate at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and teaching associate at Columbia University.

Lynne Mo, MS - Chem Eng - Sr. Manager, China Research, Beijing
Lynne has a strong academic and business background in chemical engineering. She has worked for U.S. companies and the international Chinese chemical company, Sinopec, in both technical and management capacities in R&D, international trading/sourcing, and due diligence investigation for venture capital projects. Lynne received her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in China in 1994. She earned her MS from Worchester Polytechnic Institute in the U.S. in 2000, where she had a fully supported graduate scholarship.

Sandeep Bardia, MBA -- Sr. Manager, India Research, New Delhi
Over the past 7 years, Sandeep has conducted investment analysis, equity and commodity research, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, and marketing management for companies in Europe, North America, and India. His successful consulting business in Delhi has numerous international clients. Sandeep received a BCom degree from SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi, in 2000. He completed his MBA in Finance at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003.
